1 Locate the required cables:2 Connect the computer cable tothe blue Computer/Component Videoport on the projector.3 Connect the other end to your notebook’s video-outor monitor port.NOTE: If your notebook has a DVI connector, you need to use anoptional DVI-to-VGA adapter with the included computer cable(see your computer’s documentation).4 Connect the power cord to theprojector, then plug the other endinto an electrical outlet.1 Turn on your notebook.2 Open the A/V Mute slide.NOTE: The slide must beopened completly.3 Make sure the Power lightis orange and not flashing.4 Press the Power buttonto turn on the projector.STARTHERETurn on your equipmentConnect the projectorto your notebookFollow these instructions to connect the projector to yournotebook. For other setup options, see your User’s Guide.Epson®PowerLite®1700c/1710cQuick SetupPower cord VGA computer cable1 If you’ve turned on your notebook and you don’t see an image,press the Source Search button on the projector or remote controlto select the image source.NOTE: If you still see a blank screen or have other display problems,see the troubleshooting tips on the back of this sheet.2 To raise the image, pressthe blue foot releasebutton for the frontadjustable foot and liftthe front. Release thebutton to lock thefoot in position.3 Turn the focus ring to sharpen the image.Turn the zoom ring to reduce orenlarge the image.4 If your image looks like or , you’ve placed the projector offto one side of the screen at an angle. Place it directly in front of thecenter of the screen, facing the screen squarely.5 If your image looks like or , press the or buttonson the projector to correct it.Adjust the imageCAUTION: Before unplugging the projector...Shut down the projector properly:1.
