Personal SafetyStay alert, watch what you are doing, and usecommon sense when operating a power tool.Do not use tool while tired or under theinfluence of drugs, alcohol, or medication.A moment of inattention while operating powertools may result in serious personal injury,Keep guards in place. Maintain the guardsin working order and in proper adjustment andalignment.Avoid accidental starting. Be sure switch is"OFF" before plugging in. Carrying tools withyour finger on the switch or plugging in tools thathave the switch "ON" invites accidents.Remove adjusting keys or wrenches beforeturning the tool "ON." A wrench or a key that isleft attached to a rotating part of the tool may resultin personal injury.Do not overreach. Keep proper footing andbalance at all times. Wearsafety goggles (must comply with ANSI StandardZ87,1) at all times, Wear nonslip footwear and ahard hat, if appropriate, Also, use face or dust maskif cutting operation is dusty and ear protectors(plugs or muffs) during extended periods ofoperation.Tool Use and CareUse clamps or other practical way tosecure and support the workpiece to astable platform. Holding the work by handor against your body is unstable and maylead to loss of control.Do not force tool. Use the correct tool foryour application. The correct tool will do thejob better and safer at the rate for which it isdesigned.Do not use tool if switch does not turnit "ON" or "OFF." Any tool that cannot becontrolled with the switch is dangerous andmust be repaired.Disconnect the plug from the power sourcebefore making any adjustments, changingaccessories, or storing the tool. Suchpreventive safety measures reduce the riskof starting the tool accidentally.Keep guards in place. Use of unauthorized partsor failure to follow maintenance instructionsmay create a risk of electric shock or injury.Certain cleaning agents such as gasoline,carbon tetrachloride, and ammonia maydamage plastic parts.Lift router table only by the table edges.Lifting table by any other surface could causepersonal injury.Always rotate leg assembly from end of legand keep fingers clear of joint. This avoids apinch point.Never rotate leg assemblies until they arein the unlocked position. This will preventpossible damage to the legs or table housings.Broken legs or table housings may allow thetable to collapse.Do not use the router table until allassembly and installation steps have beencompleted. Prior to each use, verify thatfasteners and the router clamps are tight. Aloose table or router is unstable and may shiftin use, resulting in property damage or seriouspersonal injury.Before operating the router in the routertable, ensure that the table legs are fullyextended, in the locked position, and theentire unit (router table with router) isplaced on and secured to a solid, flat, levelsurface that will not tip.
