INSTALLINGTHEFENCEASSEMBLY(Fig.12)The fence comes assembled. Step 1 refers toreassembly, if necessary; otherwise, go to Step 2if already assembled.1. Install spacers (29) on square-head bolts(45). (Detail 12.)2. From underneath the fence, slide two 1/4-20 x2_-in. square-head bolts (45) with spacers(29) up through the holes in the bottom of thefence assembly (C). Loosely attach a largeclamping knob (21) onto each bolt. (SeeFig. 12.)3. Insert the square-head bolts (45) withspacers (29) through the holes of the J-slotson the tabletop (1), making sure the boltheads and spacers are below the insidesurface of the tabletop and can slide freelyin the J-slot.4. From the rear of the table assembly, slidethe fence assembly (C) right and into theJ-slot and make sure that it slides smoothlyfrom front to back.5. Tighten the large clamping knobs (21) tosecure the fence assembly (C) to a desiredposition.NOTE: Use the scale on the tabletop as a guidewhen aligning the fence for routing operations.Once the fence is positioned and alignedcorrectly, tighten the clamping knobs SECURELY.Fig. 12Detail 12J-SLOTSRouter removed for clarityMITER GAUGE ASSEMBLY (Fig. 13)The miter gauge assembly comes fullyassembled. If not, use the following instructionsto assemble it.1. Insert tab on top of the miter bar (23) in thehole in the bottom of the protractor head(24).2. Insert the #10-24 x 1-in. carriage bolt (35)through the square hole in the miter bar(23) and slot in the miter gauge and securewith the flat washer (31) and the smallclamping knob (25).16
