• Removegas-poweredequipmentfromthetruckortrailerandrefuelit ontheground.Ifthisisnotpossible,thenrefuelsuchequipmentwithaportablecontainer,ratherthanfroma gasolinedispensernozzle.Keepthenozzleincontactwiththerimofthefueltankorcontaineropeningatalltimesuntilfuelingiscomplete.Donotusea nozzlelock-opendevice.Iffuelisspilledonclothing,changecloth-ingimmediately.Neveroverfillfueltank.Replacegascapandtightensecurely.GENERALSERVICE• Neveroperatemachineinaclosedarea.Keepallnutsandboltstighttobesuretheequipmentisinsafeworkingcondition.Nevertamperwithsafetydevices.Checktheirproperoperationregularly.Keepmachinefreeofgrass,leaves,orotherdebrisbuild-up.Cleanoilorfuelspillageandremoveanyfuel-soakedde-bris.Allowmachinetocootbeforestoring.If youstrikea foreignobject,stopandinspectthemachine.Repair,ifnecessary,beforerestarting.Nevermakeanyadjustmentsorrepairswiththeenginerunning.Checkgrasscatchercomponentsandthedischargechutefrequentlyandreplacewithmanufacturer'srecommendedparts,whennecessary.Mowerbladesaresharp.Wrapthebladeorweargloves,anduseextracautionwhenservicingthem.• Checkbrakeoperationfrequentty.Adjustandserviceasrequired.Maintainorreplacesafetyandinstructionlabels,asnecessary.Besuretheareaisclearofbystandersbeforeoperating.Stopmachineifanyoneentersthearea.• Nevercarrypassengers.Donotmowinreverseunlessabsolutelynecessary.Alwaystookdownandbehindbeforeandwhilebacking.Nevercarrychildren,evenwiththebladesshutoff. Theymayfalloffandbeseriouslyinjuredorinterferewithsafemachineoperation.Childrenwhohavebeengivenridesinthepastmaysuddenlyappearinthemowingareaforanotherrideandberunoverorbackedoverbythemachine.Keepchildrenoutofthemowingareaandinthewatchfulcareofaresponsibleadultotherthantheoperator.• Bealertandturnmachineoffifa childentersthearea.• Beforeandwhilebacking,tookbehindanddownforsmallchildren.Mowupanddownslopes(15°Max),notacross.Choosealowgroundspeedsothatyouwillnothavetostoporshiftwhileontheslope.Avoidstarting,stopping,orturningonaslope.Ifthetirestosetraction,disengagethebladesandproceedslowlystraightdowntheslope.• If machinestopswhilegoinguphill,disengageblades,shiftintoreverseandbackdownslowly.Donotturnonslopesunlessnecessary,andthen,turn slowlyandgraduallydownhill,ifpossible.• WhenIoadingorunloadingthismachine,do notexceedthemaximumrecom-mendedoperationangleof15°.
