TO LEVEL MOWEREnsure tires are properly inflated to the PSishown on tires. If tires are over or underinflated, it may affect the appearance of yourlawn and lead you to think the mower is notadjusted properly.VISUAL SIDE-TO-SIDE ADJUSTMENT1. With all tires properly inflated and if yourlawn appears unevenly cut, determinewhich side of mower is cutting lower.NOTE: As desired, you can raise the lowside of mower or lower the high side.2. Go to side of mower you wish to adjust.3. With a 3/4" or adjustable wrench, turnlift link adjustment nut (A) to the left tolower the mower, or, to the right to raisethe mower.5. Recheck measurements; adjust if neces-sary until both sides are equal.FRONT-TO-BACK ADJUSTMENTIMPORTANT: Deck must be level side-to-side.To obtain the best cutting results, the mowerblades should be adjusted so the front tipis 1/8 to 1/2" (3,1 to 12,7 mm) (lower thanthe rear tip when the mower is in its highestposition.,_CAUTION: Blades are sharp. Protectyour hands with gloves and/or wrap bladewith heavy cloth.• Raise mower to highest position.• Position any blade so the tip is pointingstraight forward. Measure distance "B" tothe ground at front and rear tip of blade.Turn nut Turn nutright to left toraise .... lowermower mowerNOTE: Each full turn of adjustment nut willchange mower height about 3/16" (4,7 mm).4. Test your adjustment by mowing someuncut grass and visually checking theappearance. Readjust, if necessary, untilyou are satisfied with the results.PRECISION SIDE-TO-SIDE ADJUSTMENT1. With all tires properly inflated, parktractoron level ground or driveway._,CAUTION: Blades are sharp. Protectyour hands with gloves and/or wrap bladewith heavy cloth.2. Raise mower to its highest position.3. At both sides of mower, position bladeat side and measure distance "A" frombottom edge of blade to ground. The dis-tance should be the same on both sides.4. If adjustment is necessary, see steps inVisual Adjustment instructions above.* If front tip of blade is not 1/8 to 1/2" (3,1to 12,7 mm) lower than the rear tip, go tothe front of tractor.* With an 11/16" or adjustable wrench,loosen jam nut "A" several turns to clearadjustment nut "B".* With a 3/4" or adjustable wrench, turnfront link adjustment nut"B" clockwise (y-_)(tighten) to raise the front of mower, or,counterclockwise (_-,) (loosen) to lowerthe front mower.27Tighten adjust Loosen adjustnut "B" to nut "B" toraise mower ..../ z lower mowerLoosen jam nut "A" firstNOTE: Each full turn of adjustment nut willchange mower height about 1/8" (3,1 mm).Recheck measurements, adjust if neces-sary until front tip of blade is 1/8 to 1/2"(3,1 to 12,7 mm) lower than the rear tip.Hold adjustment nut in position withwrench and tighten jam nut securelyagainst adjustment nut.
