Allowthe chipper-shredder to dry thoroughly.• Wash the bag periodically with water. Allow to drythoroughly in the shade. Do not use heat.ENGINEENGINE OILOnly use high quality detergent oil rated with APIservice classification SF, SG or SH. Select the oil'sviscosity grade according to your expected operatingtemperature.5W30 SAE 30NOTE: Although multi-viscosity oils (SE30, 10W30,etc.) improve starting in cold weather, these multi- vis-cosity oils will result in increased oil consumptionwhen used above 32°F. Check your oil level more fre-quently to avoid possible engine damage from run-ning low on oil.Your four-cycle engine will normally consume someoil--therefore, check engine oil level regularly approx-imately every five hours of operation and before eachusage. Stop engine and wait several minutes beforechecking oil level. With engine level, the oil must be toFULL mark on dipstick (refer to figure 12). Changeengine oil after the first five hours of operation, andevery twenty-five hours thereafter.To Drain Oil:• Drain oil while engine is warm.a. Remove oil drain plug. Refer to figure 12. Catchoil in a suitable container.b. When engine is drained of all oil, replace drainplug securely.• Refill with fresh oil. Refer to GAS AND OIL FILL-UP section.• Replace dipstick.12
