Checking Oil LevelOii level should be checked prior to each use or at least every5 hours of operation=Keep oii ievet maintained.1. Make sure generator is on a ieve! surface=2. Cleanarea around oii fiii and remove oii fiii cap=3. Verify oii is at the point of overflowing at oil fill opening.4. Replace and tighten oil fill cap=Adding Engine Oil1. Make sure generator is on a level surface.2. Check oii ievei as described in Checking OffLevel3. If needed, siowiy pour oii into oil fill opening to thepoint of overflowing at oil %.4. Replace and tighten oil fill cap.Changing Engine OilChangethe oil after the first 5 hours of operation. Remove oil drain plug and drain oil completely into asuitabie container.5. Reinstail oil drain plug and tighten securely. Removeoilfill cap.6. Slowiy pour oil (about 28 oz.) into oil fill opening (B) tothe point of overflowing (C) at oil fill cap. DO NOToverfill.7. Reinstati oii fiii cap. Fingertigilten cap securely.8. Wipe up any spiiied oil.Service Air CleanerYour engine wiil not run properiy and may be damaged if yourun it with a dirty air cleaner.Repiacethe air cieaner every 25 hours of operation or onceeach year, whichever comes first. Repiace more often ifoperating under dirty or dusty conditions.To service the air cteaner, foiiow these steps:1. Loosen screws (A) and remove air cleaner cover (B).Changethe oil while the engine is still warm from running, asfoflows:1. Make sure unit is on a level surface.2. Disconnect the spark piug wire from the spark piug andplace the wire where it cannot contact spark plug.3. Cban area around oil drain ptug (A). The oii drain plugis located at base of engine, opposite carburetor.2. Carefully remove cartridge (C) from base (O),3. Instaii ctean (or new) air cieaner assembly inside cover.Dispose of old fiiter properly.4.
