Turn off engine and wait at least2 minutes before refueling. Let spilled fuelevaporate before starting engine. Always allowspace for fuel expansion.WARNING High pressure water spray can cutthrough skin. Never spray people or animals,as injury can result. Spray gun traps highwater pressure, even when engine is stoppedand water is disconnected. ALWAYS point spray gun insafe direction, press red button and squeeze spray guntrigger, to release high pressure, every time you stopengine.WARNING Outdoor use ONLY. DO NOT start orrun engine indoors or in an enclosed area,even if windows and doors are open.Running engines give off carbon monoxide,an odorless, poison gas that can causenausea, fainting or death.WARNING Starter cord kickback (rapid retraction)can result in bodily injury. NEVER pullstarter cord without first relieving spraygun pressure. Pull starter cord slowly untilresistance is felt, then pull rapidly. Kickback will pullhand and arm toward engine faster than you can let go.High pressure can cause spray gun to kickback. Holdspray gun with both hands during use.WARNING Risk of eye injury. Spray can splashback or propel objects. Always wear indirectvented (chemical splash) safety goggles,marked to comply with ANSI Z87.1 whenusing or in vicinity of this equipment. NEVER substitutesafety glasses or dry-condition goggles for indirectvented safety goggles.Operator’s Manual and StandardSiphon Hose (not shown)Unpack Pressure Washer1. Remove everything from carton except pressure washer.2. Open carton completely by cutting each corner from top to bottom.3. Ensure you have all included items prior to assembly. If items aredamaged or missing, call 1-800-222-3136.4. Prior to assembly, lubricate all o-ring connections as described inoperators manual.Assemble Pressure Washer1. Place handle (A) onto handle supports connected to main unit.Make sure holes in handle align with holes on handle supports. 12. Insert handle carriage bolts (B) through holes from inside of unitand attach a plastic knob (C) from outside of unit. Tighten byhand. 1NOTICE By loosening both knobs to the middle section of theattachment bolt, the upper handle can fold forward to store flat atop thecold engine. DO NOT fold the handle down while the engine is hot.3. Insert rubber straps (D) through slots (E) in back of accessory trayand pull tight from front. 24. Place accessory tray (F) over holes (G) on handle (viewing fromfront of unit). Push the tree clips (H) into the holes until they sit flatagainst the accessory tray. 35. Insert multi–colored quick connect spray tips and other suppliedaccessories in spaces provided in accessory tray. See How to UseAccessory Tray, in operator’s manual.6. Attach bottle bracket (J) to handle with carriage bolt (K) and blackplastic knob (L). Tighten by hand. 4Attach PerfectMix™ Siphon to Pumpand Concentrate Bottle1. Place PerfectMix™ bottle (P) (not included) in wire-form bracket onhandle. Remove cap from bottle and insert PerfectMix™ Siphon (M).Screw siphon unit to top of bottle. Use clip on cap (Q) to snap siphonto wire form bracket when siphon is not in a concentrate bottle. 52. Move pressure washer outdoors to a flat, level surface.2. Clean area around oil fill and remove oil fill cap/dipstick ( ). 73. Using oil funnel (optional), slowly pour entire contents of oil bottleinto oil fill.4. Replace and fully tighten oil fill cap/dipstick.5. Clean area around the fuel cap ( ), remove fuel cap. 76. Slowly add regular unleaded fuel to bottom of fuel level limit in neckof fuel tank. Be careful not to overfill.7. Replace fuel cap. Let any spilled fuel evaporate before startingengine.Move Pressure Washerto Safe Operating Location1. Move pressure washer outdoors to a flat, level surface.2. Running engines give off carbon monoxide. Keep at least 5 ft.(1.5 m) clearance on all sides of pressure washer including overheadto reduce the risk of exhaust heat or exhaust gases igniting nearbycombustible material. 8Connect Spray GunNOTICE Remove and discard 2 shipping caps from high pressure outletand garden hose inlet connections.1. Uncoil high pressure hose (T) and attach one end of hose to base ofspray gun (U). Tighten by hand. 92. Attach other end of high pressure hose (T) to high pressure outlet(V) on pump. Tighten by hand. 10Connect Water SupplyNOTICE DO NOT use pressure washer if inlet screen is damaged ormissing, call 1-800-222-3136.1. Inspect garden hose inlet screen (W) for damage. 112. Clean screen if it contains debris or have it replaced if damaged.3. Run cold water through garden hose for 30 seconds to clean out anydebris. Connect garden hose (X) (not to exceed 50 feet in length) towater inlet (Y). Tighten by hand. 11Start Pressure WasherNOTICE You MUST connect and turn on water supply fully beforestarting engine.1. Put on safety goggles.2. Turn on water supply.3. Press red button (Z) on spray gun and pull trigger until water comesout in a steady stream. Release trigger to locked position. 124. Attach nozzle extension (AA) to spray gun (U). 135. Pull back on collar of nozzle extension (BB), insert spray tip (CC) andrelease collar. Tug on spray tip to make sure it is securely in place. 146. Turn fuel valve to “On” position. 157. Pull choke rod to “Closed” position. 168. Move engine switch to “On” position. 169. When starting engine, position yourself as recommended and graspstarter grip handle and pull slowly until you feel some resistance.Then pull rapidly to start engine. 1710. Return starter grip handle slowly. DO NOT let rope “snap back”against starter.11. After each starting attempt, where engine fails to run, always pointgun in safe direction, press red button and squeeze spray gun triggerto release high pressure.12. When engine starts, slowly move choke rod to “Open” positionas engine warms. If engine falters, move choke rod to “Closed”position, then to “Open” position.13. Point gun toward surface to be cleaned. Push red button and pulltrigger to begin spraying.Stop Pressure Washer1. Let engine idle for 2 minutes.2. Move engine switch to “Off” position. 163. Turn off water supply.4. Point spray gun in safe direction, press red button, and squeezespray gun trigger to relieve retained high water pressure.NOTICE Spray gun traps high water pressure, even when engine isstopped and water is disconnected.5. Disconnect garden hose from pump.6. Disconnect high pressure hose from pump and gun for storage. Forlong term storage instructions, see operator’s manual.7. Remove safety goggles.WARNING Running engine gives off carbon monoxide, anodorless, colorless, poison gas. Breathing carbonmonoxide could result in death, serious injury, nausea orfainting. Operate this product ONLY outdoors. DO NOToperate this product inside any building or enclosure, even if windowsand doors are open.WARNING Risk of eye injury. Spray could splash back or propelobjects resulting in serious injury. Always wear indirectvented (chemical splash) safety goggles marked tocomply with ANSI Z87.1 when using or in vicinity of thisequipment. NEVER substitute safety glasses or dry-condition gogglesfor indirect vented safety goggles.WARNING Starter cord kickback (rapid retraction) will pull handand arm toward engine faster than you can let go whichcould cause broken bones, fractures, bruises, or sprainsresulting in serious injury. NEVER pull starter cord withoutfirst relieving spray gun pressure. Pull starter cord slowly untilresistance is felt, then pull rapidly.
