We can help.Call Customer Service Toll-Free 1-800-222-3136Or visit our website www.craftsman.comUnpack pressure washerRemove everything from carton except pressure washer.1.Open carton completely by cutting each corner from top to bottom.2.Ensure you have all included items prior to assembly.3.If items are damaged or missing, call 1-800-222-3136.Assemble pressure washerPlace handle (a) against two upright posts.1.Insert two handle bolts (g) towards outside, through holes at bottom2.of handle. Fully tighten handle in an upright position with two redhandle knobs (f). Hand tighten. 2Place accessory tray (e) over four holes on back side of handle. Push3.all four tree clips (b) into holes until they sit flat against accessorytray.Attach hose wrap (j) to the back side of accessory tray.4.Place hose wrap over bracket in the back of accessory tray and twistone eighth turn to lock in position.Hose wrap is easily removed from the accessory tray for wrapping5.and unwrapping of the high pressure hose. A hose clip on thereel makes it easy to wrap the hose while it is detached from theaccessory tray.Attach bottle bracket (l) to handle with carriage bolt (c) and black6.plastic knob (d). Slowly pour entire contents of provided oil2.bottle (n) into oil fill. 6Replace and fully tighten oil fill cap.3.Remove fuel cap (B). Add clean, fresh, UNLEADED fuel. Allow space4.in fuel tank for fuel expansion. 6Replace fuel cap. Let any spilled fuel evaporate before starting5.engine.Move pressure washerto safe operating locationMove pressure washer outdoors to a flat, level surface. Running1.engines give off carbon monoxide. 7Keep at least 5 ft. (1.5 m) clearance on all sides of pressure washer2.including overhead to reduce the risk of exhaust heat or exhaustgases igniting nearby combustible material.Connect spray gunAttach high pressure hose (m) to spray gun (p).1. 8Remove and discard 2 shipping caps from high pressure outlet2.and garden hose inlet connections.Uncoil high pressure hose and attach to high pressure outlet.3. 9Connect water supplyNOTICE If inlet screen is damaged or missing,DO NOT use pressure washer, call 1-800-222-3136.Inspect garden hose inlet screen for damage.1. 10Clean screen if necessary. Refer to operator’s manual for instructions.2.Run cold water through garden hose for 30 seconds to clean out any3.debris. Garden hose length must not exceed 50 feet. Turn off watersupply and attach garden hose to water inlet. Tighten by hand. 10Detergent siphon hose (h), is used when cleaning with pressure4.washer-safe detergents. Refer to operator’s manual for moreinformation. 11Start pressure washerNOTICE You MUST connect and turn on water supply fully beforestarting engine.Turn on water supply.1.Put on safety goggles.2.Push trigger lock (red button) on spray gun and pull trigger until3.water comes out in a steady stream. Release trigger to lockedposition.Attach quick connect wand (q) to spray gun (p).4.Choose desired quick connect spray tip (k), pull back on collar of5.quick connect wand (q). Insert spray tip and release collar. Tug onspray tip to make sure it is securely in place.Turn fuel valve (C) to “On” position.6.Pull choke rod (D) to “Closed” position.7.Move engine stop switch (E) to “On” position.8.When starting engine, hold top of handle with left hand.9.With your right hand, pull cord slowly until resistance is felt and thenpull rapidly to avoid kickback. After each starting attempt, whereengine fails to run, always point gun in safe direction and squeezespray gun trigger to release high pressure.NOTE: When engine starts, slowly move choke rod to “Open” positionas engine warms. If engine falters, move choke rod to “Closed” position,then to “Open” position.Point gun toward surface to be cleaned. Push trigger lock (red10.button) and pull trigger to begin spraying.Stop pressure washerLet engine idle for 2 minutes.1.Move engine stop switch (E) to “Off” position.2.Turn off water supply.3.Point spray gun in safe direction, push trigger lock, and squeeze4.spray gun trigger to relieve retained high water pressure.Disconnect garden hose from pump.5.Disconnect high pressure hose from pump and gun for storage. Always allowspace for fuel expansion.WARNING High pressure water spray can cutthrough skin. Never spray people or animals,as injury can result. Spray gun traps highwater pressure, even when engine is stoppedand water is disconnected. ALWAYS point spray gun insafe direction, press red button and squeeze spray guntrigger, to release high pressure, every time you stopengine.WARNING Outdoor use ONLY. DO NOT start or runengine indoors or in an enclosed area, evenif windows and doors are open. Runningengines give off carbon monoxide, anodorless, poison gas that can cause nausea, fainting ordeath.WARNING Starter cord kickback (rapid retraction)can result in bodily injury. NEVER pullstarter cord without first relieving spraygun pressure. Pull starter cord slowly untilresistance is felt, then pull rapidly. Kickback will pullhand and arm toward engine faster than you can let go.High pressure can cause spray gun to kickback. Holdspray gun with both hands during use.WARNING Risk of eye injury. Spray can splashback or propel objects. Always wear indirectvented (chemical splash) safety goggles,marked to comply with ANSI Z87.1 whenusing or in vicinity of this equipment.
