NOTE: Your log splitter is shipped with motor oil in the engine.However, you MUST check the oil level before operating. See Operator Zone in theOperation section of the Safety Instructions.REmovING ThE LoG SpLITTER FRom ThECARToNPry the top, sides and ends off of the crate.1.Set the panels aside to avoid tire punctures or personal injury.2.Remove and discard the plastic bag that covers the log splitter.3.Remove any loose parts included with with the log splitter (i.e.,4.toungue assembly, operator’s manual, etc.)Cut and remove the straps which secure the parts to the bottom5.of the crate. Unbolt any remaining parts which may be bolted tothe bottom of the crate.WARNINGUse extreme caution unpacking this machine. Some components arevery heavy and will require additional people or mechanical handlingequipment.LooSE pARTS IN CARToNTongue Assembly1.ASSEmbLING ThE ToNGuEAttaching the Jack StandThe jack stand is shipped in the transport position.Remove the spring clip and clevis pin and pivot the jack stand1.towards the ground to the operating position.Secure the jack stand in position with the clevis pin and spring2.clip. See Figure 1.Attaching the TongueWith the log splitter still standing upright, remove the two hex1.bolts and hex nuts from the tank bracket. See Figure 2.Align the holes in the tongue with the holes in the tank bracket2.and secure with the hardware just removed. See Figure 2.NOTE: The high pressure hose must be above the tongue assembly.CoNNECTING CyLINDER To bEAmThe log splitter is shipped with the beam in the vertical position.Pull out the vertical beam lock, rotate it back and pivot the beam1.to the horizontal position until it locks.
