32Front and Rear Brake ControlNever operate the ATV with a spongy feeling brake lever. Operating the ATV with aspongy brake lever can result in loss of braking. Loss of braking could cause anaccident.The front and rear brakecontrol is located on theleft handlebar andoperated by the left hand.The front and rear brakesare hydraulically activateddisc type brakes, whichare activated by onecontrol only. Always testbrake lever travel andreservoir fluid level beforeriding. When squeezed,the lever should feel firm.Any sponginess would indicate a possible fluid leak or low master cylinder fluidlevel which must be corrected before riding. Contact 1-800-643-7332 for properdiagnosis and repairs.Setting the Parking BrakeAlways check to be sure that the parking brake has been disengaged beforeoperating the ATV. An accident could result causing severe injury if the parkingbrake is left on while the ATV is operated.1. Squeeze the left handbrake lever two orthree times and hold it.2. Push the park brakelock (1) into thenotches (2) on themaster cylinder body.Release the brakelever.3. To release the parkingbrake lock, squeezethe brake lever.
