16PreparationStep 1: Preparing the Power SupplyThe camcorder can be powered by a battery pack or be connected to a household powersource. Charge the battery pack before use.Attaching the Battery Pack1. Turn the switch to .2. Open the LCD panel.3. Attach the battery pack to thecamcorder.• Remove the terminal cover of thebattery pack.• Slide in the connector end of the batteryin the direction of the arrow and press itgently until it clicks.To remove the battery pack:1. Open the LCD panel.2. Hold down the BATTERYRELEASE button and pull out thebattery from the ridge on itsbottom part.Charging the Battery Pack1. Connect the power cord to theadapter.2. Plug the power cord into a poweroutlet.3. Open the front terminal cover andconnect the power adapter to thecamcorder’s DC IN terminal.The CHARGE indicator starts flashing.The indicator will stay on when thecharging is completed.To remove the power adapter:1.
