3-23Storage ManagerUse the rdisk.exe utility to update your emergency repair disk withthe new disk configuration information.Deleting an Array GroupTo delete an array group, follow these steps:1 From the Logical Configuration View window, select the LSUor array group icon of the array you want to delete. Then,select Delete Array Group.2 Select OK when the confirmation message appears to completethe delete operation. Click Cancel to exit without deleting thearray group.An array is not physically deleted until you exit Storage Managerand choose to save changes or select File > Set SystemConfiguration.Status ReportingStatus is reported by RAID controllers for arrays and drives. Somestatus conditions are indicated by Storage Manager through statusflags on the drive or array icons. More detailed status informationcan be obtained by viewing the Information window for that driveor array. Changes in status conditions are logged and can also bebroadcast to selected recipients.The general status conditions that can be indicated for drives orarrays are listed below. The actual status message may includeadditional details:Building The array is being built.Created The array or device is defined, but not initialized.Dead A write-back cache to the array command failed. Thisis an unrecoverable failure.Degraded A single drive in the array has failed; arrayperformance is affected.Impacted A verification is being performed on the array; I/Operformance is affected.Optimal The array is fully functional.
