Adjust the Seat-BacksAdjust the driver's seat-back to acomfortable, upright position, leavingample space between your chest andthe airbag cover in the center of thesteering wheel.Passengers with adjustable seat-backs should also adjust their seat-back to a comfortable, uprightposition.Reclining the seat-back too farcan result in serious injury ordeath in a crash.Adjust the seat-back to anupright position, and sit wellback in the seat.Reclining a seat-back so that theshoulder part of the belt no longerrests against the occupant's chestreduces the protective capability ofthe belt. It also increases the chanceof sliding under the belt in a crashand being seriously injured.
