3-8 User’s Manual3.6 External MouseThis notebook accepts either a serial mouse or PS/2-compatible mouse orsimilar pointing device.If you use a serial mouse, plug it into the serial port ( ) on the rearpanel. See Figure 3-3. If you use a PS/2-compatible mouse, plug it into thekeyboard/ keypad/mouse connector ( ) on the rear panel.The built-in touchpad works simultaneously with an externalPS/2-compatible mouse if one is connected.After installing the mouse, turn on the system. For DOS andWindows 3.x environments, run a mouse driver to activate themouse. Read the mouse manual for more information.
