1. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONSIn the interest of your safety and to en-sure the correct use, before installingand first using the appliance, read thisuser manual carefully, including its hintsand warnings. To avoid unnecessary mis-takes and accidents, it is important toensure that all people using the appli-ance are thoroughly familiar with its op-eration and safety features. Save theseinstructions and make sure that they re-main with the appliance if it is moved orsold, so that everyone using it throughits life will be properly informed on ap-pliance use and safety.For the safety of life and property keepthe precautions of these user's instruc-tions as the manufacturer is not respon-sible for damages caused by omission.1.1 Children and vulnerablepeople safety• This appliance is not intended for useby persons (including children) with re-duced physical, sensory or mental ca-pabilities, or lack of experience andknowledge, unless they have been giv-en supervision or instruction concern-ing use of the appliance by a personresponsible for their safety.Children should be supervised to en-sure that they do not play with the ap-pliance.• Keep all packaging well away fromchildren. There is risk of suffocation.• If you are discarding the appliancepull the plug out of the socket, cut theconnection cable (as close to the ap-pliance as you can) and remove thedoor to prevent playing children tosuffer electric shock or to close them-selves into it.• If this appliance featuring magneticdoor seals is to replace an older appli-ance having a spring lock (latch) onthe door or lid, be sure to make thatspring lock unusable before you dis-card the old appliance. This will pre-vent it from becoming a death trap fora child.1.2 General safetyWARNING!Keep ventilation openings, in the appli-ance enclosure or in the built-in struc-ture, clear of obstruction.• The appliance is intended for keepingfoodstuff and/or beverages in a nor-mal household and similar applica-tions such as:– staff kitchen areas in shops, officesand other working environments;– farm houses and by clients in hotels,motels and other residential typeenvironments;– bed and breakfast type environ-ments;– catering and similar non-retail appli-cations.• Do not use a mechanical device or anyartificial means to speed up the thaw-ing process.• Do not use other electrical appliances(such as ice cream makers) inside ofrefrigerating appliances, unless theyare approved for this purpose by themanufacturer.• Do not damage the refrigerant circuit.• The refrigerant isobutane (R600a) iscontained within the refrigerant circuitof the appliance, a natural gas with ahigh level of environmental compati-bility, which is nevertheless flammable.During transportation and installationof the appliance, be certain that noneof the components of the refrigerantcircuit become damaged.If the refrigerant circuit should be-come damaged:– avoid open flames and sources ofignition– thoroughly ventilate the room inwhich the appliance is situated• It is dangerous to alter the specifica-tions or modify this product in anyway.
