BEFORE FIRST USE1. Make sure that the set level of thewater softener agrees with the waterhardness in your area. If not, adjustthe water softener. Contact your lo-cal water authority to know the wa-ter hardness in your area.2. Fill the salt container.3. Fill the rinse aid dispenser.4. Open the water tap.5. Processing residues can stay in theappliance. Start a programme to re-move them. Do not use detergentand do not load the baskets.If you use the combi detergenttablets, activate the multitabfunction. These tablets containdetergent, rinse aid and otheradded agents. Be sure thatthese tablets are applicable tothe water hardness in your area.Refer to the instructions on thepackaging of the products.ADJUSTING THE WATERSOFTENERHard water contains a high quantity ofminerals that can cause damage to theappliance and bad washing results. Thewater softener neutralises these miner-als.The dishwasher salt keeps the watersoftener clean and in good conditions.Refer to the table to adjust the watersoftener to the right level.
