The port has softwareflow control, but no hardware flow control.AUXSerial (null-modem) linkfrom your computerTo connect the AUX port1 Ensure that power is removed from the ALIF unit.2 Connect a suitable serial ‘null-modem’ cable (see Appendix M for pin-out) between avacant serial port on your computer and the AUX port on the right hand side of theALIF dual rear panel.Power inEach ALIF dual unit is supplied with a poweradapter and country-specific power cord.When all other connections have beenmade, connect and switch on the poweradapter unit.INDOORUSE ONLY OPT15V2.5A12 Connect the IEC connector of the supplied country-specific power cord to the socketof the power adapter.3 Connect the power cord to a nearby main supply socket.Note: Both the unit and its power supply generate heat when in operation and will becomewarm to the touch.
