In order for IP packets to be transmitted over thepoint-to-point link, IPCP must reach the open state. This enables IPcommunication between the two circuit endpoints.By default, the Cuda 12000 is configured to provide its IP address duringIPCP negotiations. But when negotiating with a Juniper Networks system,providing the IP address during IPCP negotiation prevents a successfulconnection.When the interface must connect with a Juniper Networks system, you candisable reporting of an IP address during IPCP negotiation.To enable or disable reporting of the IP address during negotiation, performthe following task within interface pos mode:Task Command1.
