8 TIMING AND A LARM C ONTROLLERM ANAGEMENTThe Cuda 12000 utilizes an external fan tray for cooling and obtains powerfrom an external power source. Fault management features on the Cuda12000 for the fan tray and power source are: The Timing and Alarms Controller (TAC) that resides on the Managementmodule. TAC provides alarm processing for detection of faults associatedwith fan tray and power supply auxiliary devices. Software reporting functions that allow you to configure the reporting offault conditions. Fault reporting alerts you to fault conditions as theyarise, so you may take action prior to a loss of operation, or know whenthe power source and cooling capability is compromised.
