Works maybe carried out only by persons, whose training has includedinstructions on different types of protection and installationtechniques, concerned rules and regulations as well asgeneral principles of zoning. The person must possess theappropriate competences for the type of work to beconducted.When operating with combustible dusts, comply withEN 60079-31.The safety instructions for electrical apparatus inpotentially explosive areas must be in accordance withDirective 2014/34/EC (ATEX) and IEC60079-14 (Installationof electrical equipment in potentially explosive areas).Comply with the applicable regulations for the protection ofemployees to ensure safe operation.2.4.2 Cable entriesDevices with the "Ex d" type of protection supplied withoutcable glandsFor devices with the "Ex d - flameproof enclosure" type ofprotection supplied without cable glands, refer to theinformation in chapter ‘Flameproof enclosure - Zone 1’ onpage 11 and ‘Flameproof enclosure - Zone 0 / 1’ on page 12.For information on the cable gland used, refer to therelevant data sheet and operating instructions.Devices with the "Ex d" type of protection with cableglandsFor devices with the "Ex d - flameproof enclosure" type ofprotection, a correspondingly certified cable entry isinstalled if the relevant selection is made for cable entry intothe temperature transmitter TTFx00. This corresponds tothe basic requirements of the guideline 2014/34/EU.Cable gland data— 2 x M20 x 1.5 or 2 x 1/2 in. NPT— Temperature range: −40 ... 85 °C (−40 ... 185 °F)— Cable outer diameter 3.2 ... 8.7 mm (0.13 ... 0.34 inch)— Brass, nickel-platedThe cable entry is only suitable for fixed installations andnon-reinforced cables with round and smooth plasticsleeves and suitable outside diameter. The cables must beattached appropriately in order to prevent them beingpulled out or twisted.The operating instructions supplied and approvals of thecable glands as well as all applicable requirements, e.g. inaccordance with EN 60079-14 must be taken into accountaccordingly.
