2-10 2000-OSM, F1MATCHING COLUMN FLOWSWhen you are matching column flows, refer to the Data Package for flow rates and valveconfigurations. Although methods of matching column flows vary with valve configurations, thefollowing procedures apply to most configurations. Verify flows using a flow meter connected to thepoint being checked (e.g., cell vent).Manual Operation of ValvesOperate the valves manually as follows:1. On the Background screen press the F2 (Manual Control) soft key.2. On the Manual Control Mode screen (see Figure 2-5), the first line (“Valves:”) indicates whichvalves are ON. The cursor will be on the second line (“Enter Valve: 0”), which enables you toturn valves on and off.3. To turn Valve One ON, verify that the number “1” does not appear on the first line, then press the“1” key on the keyboard. The number “1” appears momentarily on the second line and thenappears on the first line.4. To turn Valve One OFF, verify that the number “1” appears on the first line (“Valves:”). Move thecursor to the second line and press the number “1” key. The number “1” disappears from the firstline of the screen.5.
