PREPARE THE DRYING CYCLE• Open the water tap.• Check if the drain hose is connected properly.Refer to installation chapter for moreinformation.• For the maximum laundry load of the dryingprogrammes, refer to the drying programmestable.ITEMS NOT SUITABLE FOR DRYINGDo not set a drying programme for thislaundry:• Synthetic curtains.• Pieces of clothing with metal inserts.• Nylon stockings.• Quilts.• Bed covers.• Duvets.• Anoraks.• Sleeping bags.• Fabrics with residue of hair sprays, nail solventsor similar.• Garments with foam-rubber or materials similarto foam-rubber.GARMENT LABELSWhen you dry the laundry, obey the indications onthe labels of the manufacturers:• = The item can be tumble dried• = The drying cycle is at high temperature• = The drying cycle is at reducedtemperature• = The item can not be tumble dried.DRYING CYCLE DURATIONThe drying time can change depending on:• speed of the last spin• dryness level• type of laundry• weight of the loadADDITIONAL DRYINGIf, at the end of the drying programme, the laundryis still damp, set a short drying cycle again.WARNING! To avoid creasing andshrinkage do not overdry thelaundry.GENERAL TIPSRefer to the «Drying programmes» table to find theaverage drying times.Experience will help you to dry the laundry better.Take note of the duration of the cycles done before.To avoid the static charge at the end of the dryingcycle:1. Use fabric conditioner in the washing cycle.2. Use special fabric conditioner for tumbledryers.When the drying programme is completed removethe laundry promptly.CARE AND CLEANINGWARNING! Refer to Safety chapters.EXTERNAL CLEANINGClean the appliance with mild soap and warm wateronly. Fully dry all the surfaces.CAUTION! Do not use alcohol,solvents or chemical products.CAUTION! Do not clean the metalsurfaces with chlorine-baseddetergent.DESCALINGIf the water hardness in your area ishigh or moderate, we recommend thatyou use a water descaling product forwashing machines.Regularly examine the drum to check for limescale.Regular detergents already contain water softeningagents, but we recommend to run a cycle with anempty drum and a descaling product occasionally.Always follow the instructions that youfind on the packaging of the product.MAINTENANCE WASHThe repeated and prolonged use of lowtemperature programmes can cause detergentdeposits, fluff residues, bacterial growth inside the32
