254ZB, 62ZBZ- Beast Finish MowerRev: AUG2014Z- BEAST Inspection and Serial Number LocationsMower InspectionFor your safety, inspect the lawn mower before eachuse. Before you begin your inspection, be sure thefollowing conditions are met: the lawn mower shouldbe on a level surface, with the ignition switch off, thekey removed, the brake set, and the bladesdisengaged. Also, disconnect the spark plug wiresfrom the spark plugs and ground them against theengine to prevent inadvertent starting.1. Walk around the mower and look for any fluidspills or leaks on or underneath the mower.Remove any and all excessive debris, dirt, andfluids.2. Look for signs of damage or excessive wear.Check the tightness of all nuts, bolts, pins, andscrews. Tighten any that may be loose andreplace any that are missing.3. Be sure the safety switches are operatingproperly so that the engine cannot be startedunless the blades are disengaged.4. Check the mower blades for any damage orabnormal wear. If replacement is required,replace in sets so that they are balanced.5. Check the tire pressure of all four tires. Do notexceed the maximum pressure indicated on thetire.6. Check the belts for damage or wear.7. Check engine oil and air filters as recommendedin the engine manufacturer’s manual. Chassis SerialNumber |
