When you install theoptional Mailbox / Collator, these same eight keys are used toenter numeric passwords for each of the mailbox bins.Table 3.2 describes the function of each key.Table 3.2 Control Panel keys and their functionsKey DescriptionOnline Toggles between online and offline.When online, the printer is able to receive and print pages. When offline, page processingand printing halts, but the printer is still able to respond to status requests.You must take the printer offline to:• Access the menu system with Menu or Reset .• Insert or remove a font card.• Perform tasks such as forcing a form feed for a partially printed page.The printer goes offline automatically when it has a fault condition such as a paper jam oran open cover. Use Online to put the printer back online after correcting suchconditions.Reset Displays the Reset Menu and the first reset function: Reset Printer.Press Up or Down repeatedly to scroll through the other Reset Menu functions.See “Reset Menu” (page 3-32).The printer must be offline for Reset to function.Form Feed Prints a partial page of a PCL emulation job, if one exists in the printer (as indicated by the“Form Feed” indicator light).The printer must be offline for Form Feed to function.Menu Displays the Main Menu and its first submenu: Language.The printer must be offline for Menu to function.From any submenu, press Menu to go to the top of the Main Menu.
