ThePaperPort and OmniPage applications that you received with yourscanner use the TWAIN standard. You can open the same TWAINinterface from many other graphics and imaging applications. Becausethe TWAIN interface is the same in most software applications, you usethe instructions in this User’s Guide for scanning with your XeroxDocuMate 250 scanner. To access the TWAIN interface from othersoftware, please refer to their user’s guides.Getting Help with the PaperPort SoftwareThe PaperPort software includes a complete set of help topics thatanswer questions about each feature of the software. To open the HelpTopics window, press the F1 key or choose PaperPort Help from theHelp menu.You can also refer to the PaperPort Getting Started Guide and PaperPortUser’s Guide on the CD.NOTE: You can access the TWAIN interface when you’re scanningfrom the One Touch software. If the One Touch configuration you’reusing is set to Configure Before Scan, and the selected option isTWAIN, the TWAIN interface opens right away without openingPaperPort or any other TWAIN-compliant software first. See thesection “Configure Before Scan” on page 46 for details.
