MENU S YSTEM : CUES AND SEQUENCES402.9 671.00 01 E 17-Sep-02 65Cues and SequencesOverviewThe luminaire has the ability to store and playback cues independent of a console.Cues are stored as numbers from 1 to 99 by using the Cue (Cue Processing) functionsavailable in the menu system. This also allows you to create your own test sequencesto be played back on a group of luminaires.Refer to “Menu System Functions” on page 57 for a complete breakdown of Cue andMan (Manual Commands) functions.StoringThe luminaire is able to store its current position into a cue; this information can be setvia a console or by using the menu system Man (Manual Commands) function.PlaybackCues can be joined into a sequence to be played back without a console. However, only one sequence can run at a time.A sequence can either replay the cues stored in each luminaire or replay the cuesstored in a master luminaire. Playing a cue sequence for all luminaires in the data linkis triggered by a “master” luminaire using the PSEQ (Play Sequence) command. Thecue follow time (FLTM) is taken from the luminaire that is running the sequence (it ispossible to view the follow time of each cue by playing the cue PCUE and thenviewing the cue follow time FLTM). A playback sequence can be set to startautomatically after power up by setting the Auto (AutoPlay) feature to ON.Note: Up to 32 luminaires can be linked together to run a sequence if they are datalinked together. Refer to “Connecting Data and Power” on page 19.Hardware RequirementsData cables used in the multi-luminaire playback feature must have two twisted pairsand a shield. It is also recommended that cables meet all other USITT DMXspecification requirements. Refer to “Data Cables” on page 12.Loopback and termination connectors are used in this process. Refer to page 14 formore information regarding the construction of these connectors.
