Issue 11 947612V-2992VOLUME CONTROLINTRODUCTIONThe Valcom V-2992 Volume Control is a volumecontrol unit which can be mounted into asingle-gang electrical box. This unit iscompatible with all Valcom one-way and two-wayspeakers. Consult theinstallation instructions of other equipment forinformation relative to each piece of equipment.Audio Connections"D" type station wire or other suitable pairs maybe used for audio connections.Connections when using a One-Way ControlUnita. Connect volume control input tip andring to desired zone output leads frompage control.b. Connect volume control output tip andring to speakers.Connections when using a Talkback Control Unita. Connect volume control tip input terminalto tip output lead of talkback page controlunitb. Connect volume control tip output terminal totip lead of talkback speaker.c. Connect ring output of talkback page controlto ring of talkback speaker.MountingFeed audio cable through access hole in an installedsingle-gang electrical workbox. After makingconnections, install faceplate to box using the screwsprovided.
