Product description13VCS 100seriesOverview of functionsColor cameraC 100The IP camera C 100 is a high-resolution color camera for profes-sional use in CCTV systems. It has an integral video server forencoding of the video and control signals for the transfer via anEthernet LAN. By using existing networks, the C 100 permits thesimple installation and configuration of CCTV systems.The camera's 1/3ì CCD offers a horizontal resolution of 470 (PAL)resp. 480 (NTSC) lines. The camera is characterised by its excep-tional dynamic range of more than 46 dB and its highly sophistica-ted backlight compensation. Interference with strong backlightwhich causes under-exposure and extensive loss of detail with nor-mal cameras is thus effectively eliminated.The digital signal processor in conjunction with an intermediateimage memory allows the light sensitivity to be increased by up to32 times, hence significantly extending its range of potential appli-cations compared with standard cameras. The camera is thereforeextremely well-suited for use in environments with poor lightingconditions or in extreme light situations (e.g. strong backlight fromfloodlights or reflected sunlight).All the camera parameters are conveniently set via the HTMLpages using an internet browser.The maximum camera performance is obtained by using lenseswith DC-controlled iris which guarantee an optimum light-sourceefficiency.The main functions of the camera include:!
