English - 27 -ConnectivityWired ConnectivityTo Connect to a Wired Network• You must have a modem/router connected to anactive broadband connection.• Connect your PC to your modem/router. This canbe a wired or wireless connection.• Connect your TV to your modem/router via anethernet cable. There is a LAN port at the rear(back) of your TV.Broadband ISP connectionLAN (ethernet) cableLAN input on the rearside of the TVTo configure wired settings please refer tothe Network/Internet Settings section in theSystem>Settings Menu.• You might be able to connect your TV to your LANdepending on your network’s configuration. In sucha case, use an ethernet cable to connect your TVdirectly to the network wall outlet.LAN input on the rearside of the TVnetworkwall socketConfiguring Wired Device SettingsNetwork TypeThe Network Type can be selected as Wired Device,Wireless Device or Disabled, in accordance with theactive connection to the TV set. Select this as WiredDevice if you are connecting via an ethernet.Internet Speed TestHighlight Internet Speed Test and press the OK but-ton. TV will check the internet connection bandwidthand display the result when complete.Advanced SettingsHighlight Advanced Settings and press the OKbutton. On the next screen you can change the IPand DNS settings of the TV. Highlight the desired oneand press Left or Right button to change the settingfrom Automatic to Manual. Now you can enter theManual IP and / or Manual DNS values. Select therelated item in the drop down menu and enter thenew values using the numeric buttons of the remote.Press the OK button to save settings when complete.Wireless ConnectivityTo Connect to a Wireless NetworkThe TV cannot connect to the networks with a hiddenSSID. To make your modem’s SSID visible, you shouldchange your SSID settings via the modem’s software.To Connect to a wireless LAN, you should performthe following steps:• To configure your wireless settings please referto the Network/Internet Settings section in theSystem>Settings Menu.BroadbandISPconnectionA Wireless-N router (IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n) withsimultaneous 2.4 and 5 GHz bands is designed toincrease bandwidth. These are optimized for smootherand faster HD video streaming, file transfers andwireless gaming.• The frequency and channel differ depending onthe area.• The transmission speed differs depending on thedistance and number of obstructions between thetransmission products, the configuration of theseproducts, the radio wave conditions, the line trafficand the products that you use. The transmission mayalso be cut off or may get disconnected dependingon the radio wave conditions, DECT phones or anyother WiFi 11b appliances. The standard values ofthe transmission speed are the theoretical maximumvalues for the wireless standards. They are not theactual speeds of data transmission. |
