English - 21 -Teletext ServicesPress the Text button to enter. Press again to activatemix mode, which allows you to see the teletext pageand the TV broadcast at the same time. Press oncemore to exit. If available, sections in the teletext pageswill become colour-coded and can be selected bypressing the coloured buttons. Follow the instructionsdisplayed on the screen.Digital TeletextPress the Text button to view digital teletextinformation. Operate it with the coloured buttons,cursor buttons and the OK button. The operationmethod may differ depending on the contents of thedigital teletext. Follow the instructions displayed onthe digital teletext screen. When the Text button ispressed again, the TV returns to television broadcast.BBC Connected Red Button (CRB)While watching BBC channels, press the Red buttonto access digital TV services provided by the BBC.Under the tab ‘Featured’ highlight Connected RedButton and press OK to start the service. On theopening page you can access to BBC’s main servicessuch as BBC iPlayer, BBC News, BBC Sport andmany others. There are also links to the home pages ofthe related applications available. Use the navigationbuttons on the TV’s remote control to move throughthe application. Press Exit button to close and exit.Software UpgradeYour TV is capable of finding and updating the firmwareautomatically via the broadcast signal or via Internet.Software upgrade search via user interfaceOn the main menu select System>Settings and thenMore. Navigate to Software upgrade and press theOK button. In Upgrade options menu select Scanfor upgrade and press OK button to check for a newsoftware upgrade.If a new upgrade is found, it starts to download theupgrade. After the download is completed, a warningwill be displayed, press OK button to completesoftware upgrade process and restart TV.3 AM search and upgrade modeYour TV will search for new upgrades at 3:00 o’clock ifAutomatic scanning option in the Upgrade optionsmenu is set to Enabled and if the TV is connectedto an aerial signal or to Internet. If a new software isfound and downloaded successfully, it will be installedat the next power on.Note: Do not unplug the power cord while led is blinkingduring the reboot process. If the TV fails to come on after theupgrade, unplug, wait for two minutes then plug it back in.Troubleshooting & TipsTv will not turn onMake sure the power cord is plugged in securely to awall outlet. Press the Power button on the TV.Poor picture• Check if you have correctly tuned the TV.• Low signal level can cause picture distortion. Pleasecheck antenna connections.• Check if you have entered the correct channelfrequency if you have performed manual tuning.No picture• TV is not receiving any signal.Make sure the correct source has been selected.• Is the antenna connected properly?• Is the antenna cable damaged?• Are suitable plugs used to connect the antenna?• If you are in doubt, consult your dealer.No sound• Check if the TV sound is muted. Press the Mutebutton or increase the volume to check.• Sound is coming from only one speaker. Check thebalance settings from Sound menu.Remote control - no operation• The batteries may be exhausted. Replace thebatteries.• The batteries maybe inserted incorrectly. Refer tothe section "Inserting the Batteries into the Remote".No signal on an input source• It is possible that no device is connected.• Check the AV cables and connections from yourdevice.• Check the device is switched on.Recording unavailableTo record a programme, you should first correctlyconnect a USB storage device to your TV, while theTV is switched off. You should then switch on the TVto enable the recording feature. If you cannot record,check the storage device is correctly formatted andthere is sufficient space.USB is too slowIf a “USB storage device writing speed too slow torecord” message is displayed on the screen whilestarting a recording, try restarting the recording. If youstill get the same error, it is possible that your USBstorage device does not meet the speed requirements.Try using a different USB storage device. |
