September 1997 © TOSHIBA CORP. 1 - 57 2460 ADJUSTMENT1.15 Doctor Sleeve Gap AdjustmentTool required: Doctor sleeve jigMethod(1) Remove the developer unit from machine, takeout the upper cover (2 screws), and dischargethe developer material.(2) Place the developer unit on a flat surface.(3) Turn the leveler adjustment screws and ad-just it using the step “0.45” into the gap be-tween the sleeve and leveler.(4) Check that step “0.40” can move smoothly inthe front and rear direction in the gap betweenthe sleeve and leveler, while step “0.50” can-not be inserted.(5) Reassemble the upper cover of developerunit.Notes: 1. Align the position of sleeve marking with thatof the leveler, when checking or adjusting thegap between the sleeve and the leveler.2. When assembling the upper cover, fasten thehooks with a screw after fully inserting them.3.
