1. Move the speed-control lever to the NEUTRALposition to stop the machine.2. Disengage the PTO lever, engage the parkingbrake, shut off the engine, and wait for allmoving parts to stop.3. Tilt the seat up to gain access to the pumps.4. Rotate both release valves 1 turncounterclockwise to release the drivesystem.Note: This allows the hydraulic fluid to bypassthe pump, enabling the wheels to turn.5. Disengage the parking brake before pushingthe machine.Note: Do not tow the machine.6. Rotate the valves clockwise to run the machine.Note: Do not overtighten the valves.Transporting the MachineUse a heavy-duty trailer or truck to transport themachine. Ensure that the trailer or truck has allnecessary brakes, lighting, and marking as requiredby law. Please carefully read all the safety instructions.Knowing this information could help you, your family, pets, or bystanders avoid injury.WARNINGDriving on the street or roadway withoutturn signals, lights, reflective markings, or aslow-moving vehicle emblem is dangerousand can lead to accidents causing personalinjury.Do not drive the machine on a public streetor roadway.1. If using a trailer, connect it to the towing vehicleand connect the safety chains.2. If applicable, connect the trailer brakes.3. Load the machine onto the trailer or truck.4. Shut off the engine, remove the key, set thebrake, and close the fuel valve.5. Securely fasten the machine to the trailer ortruck with straps, chains, cable, or ropes downand outward from the machine.Loading the MachineUse extreme caution when loading or the unloadingmachine onto a trailer or a truck. Use a full-width rampthat is wider than the machine for this procedure.Important: If a full width ramp is not available, use enough individual ramps to simulate a fullwidth ramp.Ensure that the ramp is long enough so that the anglewith the ground does not exceed 15 degrees. Asteeper angle may cause mower components to getcaught as the machine moves from the ramp to thetrailer or truck. Steeper angles may also cause themachine to tip or lose control. If you are loading themachine on or near a slope, position the trailer or truckso that it is on the down side of the slope and the rampextends up the slope. This minimizes the ramp angle.Important: Do not attempt to turn the machinewhile on the ramp, you may loose control anddrive off the side.WARNINGLoading a machine onto a trailer or truckincreases the possibility of a tip-over andcould cause serious injury or death.• Use extreme caution when operating amachine on a ramp.• Use only a full-width ramp; do not useindividual ramps for each side of themachine.• If a full width ramp is not available, useenough individual ramps to simulate a fullwidth ramp.• Do not exceed a 15-degree angle betweenthe ramp and the ground or between theramp and the trailer or truck.• Avoid sudden acceleration or decelerationwhile driving the machine on a ramp as thiscould cause a loss of control or a tip-over.28
