1. Place your foot onto lift assist lever.2. Press on the lift assist lever while pulling up on theheight-of-cut lever (Figure 26).Figure 26Positioning the SeatThe seat can move forward and backward. Disengage the power take off (PTO) and turn theignition key to off. Move the levers to neutral lockedposition and apply parking brake. Remove the key.2. Rotate the by-pass valves counterclockwise 1 turnto push. This allows hydraulic fluid to by-pass thepump enabling the wheels to turn (Figure 29).Important: Do not rotate by-pass valves morethan 1 turn. This prevents valves from comingout of the body and causing fluid to run out.3. Disengage parking brake before pushing.Changing to Machine OperationRotate the by-pass valves clockwise 1 turn to operatemachine (Figure 29).Note: Do not over tighten the by-pass valves.The machine will not drive unless by-pass valves areturned in.23
