Note: The driver should drive up to themeasurement area and stay seated in the vehiclewhile the measurement is being taken.If the vehicle will be run with medium to heavyloads most of the time, set the toe-in on thehigh side of the recommended amount. If itis going to be run with a light load most ofthe time, set the toe-in on the low side of therecommended amount.1. Ensure that the front suspension is adjustedproperly; refer to Adjusting the FrontSuspension. Adjust if necessary.2. Measure the distance between both of thefront tires at the axle height at both the frontand rear of the front tires (Figure 44). A fixtureor alignment gauge is needed for the rearmeasurement of the front tires at axle height.Use the same fixture or alignment gauge toaccurately measure the front of the front tiresat axle height (Figure 44).Figure 441. Ensure that there is full travel of the steeringwheel in both directions.Maintaining the PrimaryDrive ClutchAfter every 400 operating hours or yearly, cleanand lubricate the clutch as follows:1. Raise and latch the cargo box.2. Stop the engine, remove the key, and set theparking brake.3. Remove the 3 bolts securing the cover to theclutch and remove the cover (Figure 46).Figure 461. Cover 2.
