Notes on use• Use the port replicator with an AC adapter that is compatible with yournotebook. See also the manuals provided with your Sony notebook formore information.• To disconnect the port replicator completely from mains voltage,unplug the AC adapter.• Make sure that the socket outlet is easily accessible.• Do not place the unit in locations that are:– Extremely hot or cold– Dusty or dirty– Very humid– Vibrating– Subject to strong magnetic fields– Sandy– Subject to direct sunlight• Do not apply mechanical shock or drop the unit.• Be sure that nothing metallic comes into contact with the metal parts ofthe unit. If this happens, a short-circuit may occur and the unit may bedamaged.• Do not operate the unit with a damaged cord.• Do not operate the unit that has been dropped or damaged.• Always keep the metal contacts clean.• Do not disassemble or convert the unit.• While in use, it is normal for the unit to get warm.• Keep the unit away from TV or AM receivers, because it can disturb TVor AM reception.On cleaningClean the unit with a soft dry cloth, or a soft cloth lightly moistened with amild detergent solution.
