Maintenance and precautions (Continued)118Care and storage of the discs• Keep the disc clean, or the image quality of theaudio and video output may deteriorate.• Clean the disc with a soft cloth.Wipe the disc from the center out. For dirt, cleanthe disc with a soft cloth slightly moistened inwater, then remove the moisture with a soft, drycloth. Do not use solvents such as benzine,cleaners intended for vinyl LPs or antistaticspray, as they may cause a malfunction to thedisc.• Do not expose the disc to direct sunlight orleave it in a humid place.• When you carry or store the disc, put it in itscase.• When you want to write letters or marks, etc. ona single-sided disc, write only on the printedside using an oil-based marker with a felt-tip,and do not touch the ink until it dries. Do notheat the disc or use a sharp-pointed tool, such asball point pen. Do not dry the surface byheating. You cannot write, or mark, on double-sided discs.A "Memory Stick" is a compact, portableIe recording medium with a large datacapacity.You can use only a "Memory Stick Duo,"which is about the half size of a standard"Memory Stick," with your camcorder.However, we do not guarantee theoperation of all types of "Memory StickDuo" on your camcorder."Memory Stick Duo"(with MagicGate)"Memory Stick PRO Duo" 0"Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo" 0** Your camcorder is not compatible with 8-bitparallel data transfer, but performs 4-bit paralleldata transfer, which is used by a "Memory StickPRO Duo."• This product cannot record or play data that uses"MagicGate" technology. "MagicGate" is acopyright protection technology that records andtransfers the contents in an encrypted format.• This product is compatible with "Memory StickMicro" ("M2").
