Shooting in extremely cold or hot places thatexceed this range is not recommended.Notes on long-time recording• Camera body and battery may get warm with use – this is normal.• Avoid using the camera for a long time when holding the camera inyour hand or when it is directly touching your skin. It is recommendedthat you use the supplied adhesive mounts or waterproof case, oroptional mount accessories.• Under high ambient temperatures, the temperature of the camerarises quickly.• Leave the camera alone for 10 minutes or longer to allow thetemperature inside the camera to decrease to a safe level.• When the temperature of the camera rises, the image quality maydeteriorate. It is recommended that you wait until the temperature ofthe camera drops before continuing to shoot images.On the overheat protectionDepending on the camera and battery temperature, you may be unableto record movies or the power may turn off automatically to protect thecamera. [HEAT] will be displayed on the display panel of the cameraand a message will be displayed on the screen of a separately soldLive-View Remote before the power turns off or you can no longerrecord movies. In this case, leave the power off and wait until thecamera and battery temperature goes down. If you turn on the powerwithout letting the camera and battery cool enough, the power mayturn off again or you may be unable to record movies.About dust-proof and waterproof performanceThe camera is dust-proof and waterproof (FDR-X1000V: Up to a depthof 10 m (33 feet) of water for 60 minutes continuously/ HDR-AS200V:Up to a depth of 5 m (16 feet) of water for 30 minutes continuously).
