13PreparationsEnabling the REC Command via aNetwork for a Cassette with aMemory LabelExecution of the REC command via a network when usinga cassette with a memory label attached is normallydisabled to prevent overwriting of a file that has beenalready received.However, you can execute the REC command via anetwork for a cassette wtih a memory label in a case inwhich no file has been created by any user.1 Do steps 1 to 3 of “Basic Network Settings” (see page9) to display the M5: NETWORK page of themaintenance menu.2 Rotate the MULTI CONTROL knob to bring thecursor (*) to M57: OTHERS CONFIG, and then pressthe F5 (SET) button to display the sub-page.3 Rotate the MULTI CONTROL knob to bring thecursor (*) to M571 REC WITH TELE-F, and thenpress the F5 (SET) button.The M571: REC WITH TELE-F setting page appears.4 Rotate the MULTI CONTROL knob to change thesetting.enable: If no file has been created, execution of theREC command execution is enabled even if thecassette inserted in the e-VTR has a memory label.disable (default setting): REC command execution isdisabled for any cassette inserted in the e-VTR thathas a memory label.5 Press the F5 (SET) button.The message “Save Complete” appears.Enabling File Creation Exceedingthe Capacity of a Memory LabelCreation of a file exceeding the capacity ot the memorylabel attached to the cassette is normally disabled.With the following menu operation, you can enablecontinuous file creation even after the capacity of thememory label is exceeded.
