Settings and Adjustments57GB[Frame]: The picture, including subjects that donot move dynamically, is output in highresolution.[Audio Settings]x [BD Audio MIX Setting][On]: Outputs the audio obtained by mixing theinteractive audio and secondary audio to theprimary audio.[Off]: Outputs the primary audio only. Selectthis when outputting HD audio signals to an AVreceiver.x [Audio DRC]You can compress the dynamic range of thesound track.[Auto]: Performs playback at the dynamic rangespecified by the disc (BD-ROM only).[Off]: No compression of dynamic range.[On]: The system reproduces the sound trackwith the kind of dynamic range that therecording engineer intended.x [Attenuate - AUDIO]Distortion may occur when you listen to acomponent connected to the AUDIO (AUDIOIN L/R) jacks. You can prevent distortion byreducing the input level on the unit.[On]: Attenuates the input level. The outputlevel is changed.[Off]: Normal input level.x [Audio Output]The system cannot output multi-channel soundfrom both the HDMI OUT jack and system’sspeakers simultaneously.[Speaker]: Outputs multi-channel sound fromthe system’s speakers only.[Speaker + HDMI]: Outputs multi-channelsound from the system’s speakers and 2-channellinear PCM signals from the HDMI OUT jack.[HDMI]: Outputs sound from the HDMI OUTjack only. Sound format depends on theconnected component.Note• When you set [Audio Output] to [HDMI], theSOUND MODE, “D.BASS,” “NIGHT MODE,” and“SUR.SETTING” functions are disabled.• When the System Audio Control function (page 49)is activated, this setting may change automatically.x [Sound Effect]You can set the system’s sound effects (SOUNDMODE, “D.BASS,” “NIGHT MODE,” and“SUR.SETTING” ) to on/off.[On]: Enables all of the system’s sound effects.The upper limit of sampling frequency is set to48 kHz.[Off]: The sound effects are disabled. Select thiswhen you do not want to set the upper limit ofsampling frequency.x [Speaker Settings]To obtain the best possible surround sound, setthe speakers.
