27GBGetting StartedStep 3: Setting up theS-AIR Wireless SystemBefore performing Step 3Make sure all connections are secure, and thenconnect the AC power cords (mains leads).To use the S-AIR wireless system, you need toset up the surround amplifier.The unit transmits sound to the surroundamplifier that is connected to the surroundspeakers. To activate wireless transmission,perform the following Steps.1 Press "/1 to turn the system on.Make sure that “S-AIR” light up in the frontpanel display. When “S-AIR” does not lightup, make sure that the wireless transceiveris inserted into the unit correctly.2 Set the SURROUND SELECTOR switchof the surround amplifier toSURROUND.3 Set the S-AIR ID switch of the surroundamplifier to A.4 Press "/1 to turn the surround amplifieron.When wireless transmission is activated,the S-AIR/STANDBY indicator turnsgreen.If the S-AIR/STANDBY indicator does notturn green, see “Surround amplifier”(page 11).For details of the S-AIR function, see“Using an S-AIR Product” (page 44).About the standby modeThe surround amplifier enters standby modeautomatically (the S-AIR/STANDBY indicatorturns red) when the main unit is in standby modeor wireless transmission is deactivated.The surround amplifier is turned onautomatically (the S-AIR/STANDBY indicatorturns green) when the system is turned on andwireless transmission is activated."/1SURROUND SELECTORSURROUND SURROUND BACKSURROUND SELECTORSURROUND SURROUND BACKPAIRINGA B CS-AIR IDA B CS-AIR IDS-AIR/STANDBYS-AIR/STANDBY indicator"/1
