In MODULUS: For example, generally used for worm gears that mesh with a gearwheel. Per inch: Used with pipe threads, for example. When entered per inch, enter the integer number in front of the decimal point in thefirst parameter field and the figures after the decimal point as a fraction in thesecond and third field. In mm/rev In inch/revThe tool used depends on the thread pitch.MODULUSTurns/"mm/revin/rev∅ Nominal diameterExample: Nominal diameter of M12 = 12 mmmmH1 Thread depth mmDXY Maximum plane infeed mmrev Finishing allowance in X and Y - (only for ∇) mmαS Starting angle Degrees8.4.12 Engraving (CYCLE60)FunctionThe "Engraving" function is used to engrave a text on a workpiece along a line or arc.You can enter the text directly in the text field as "fixed text" or assign it via a variable as"variable text".Engraving uses a proportional font, i.e., the individual characters are of different widths.Approach/retraction1. The tool approaches the starting point at rapid traverse at the height of the retractionplane and adjusts to the safety clearance.2. The tool moves to the machining depth FZ at the infeed feedrate Z1 and mills thecharacters.3. The tool retracts to the safety clearance at rapid traverse and moves along a straight lineto the next character.4. Steps 2 and 3 are repeated until the entire text has been milled.5. The tool moves to the retraction plane in rapid traverse.
