OnDVDs that include a copy protection code, if the contents ofthe DVD are copied using a VCR, the copy protection codeprevents the videotape copy from playing normally.Location and Handling• Do not cover or place the VCR/DVD in enclosed spaces toprevent excessive temperature build up.• Do not place the VCR/DVD in direct sunlight, or near heatsources.• Keep the VCR/DVD away from strong magnetic objects.• Do not place any object containing water or other liquids onthe VCR/DVD. In this case, turn onthe power and wait for more than two hours for the moistureto evaporate.CleaningUnplug your VCR/DVD before cleaning. Use a damp cloth forcleaning. Do not use cleaning fluids or aerosols which couldenter the VCR/DVD and cause damage, fire, or electricalshock. These substances may also deteriorate the finish ofyour VCR/DVD.Auto Head Cleaning• Automatically cleans video heads as you insert or remove acassette, so you can see a clear picture.• Playback picture may become blurred or interrupted whilethe TV program reception is clear. Dirt accumulated on thevideo heads after a long period of use, or the usage ofrental or worn tapes can cause this problem. If a streaky orsnowy picture appears during playback, the video heads inyour VCR/DVD may need to be cleaned.1.
