– 25 – ENPLAYING A DISCYou can check information about the current disc by pressingDISPLAY on the remote control.Press DISPLAY during playback to show current Chapter.• The elapsed and remaining playing time of the currentchapter will be displayed.Press DISPLAY again to show current Title.• The elapsed and remaining playing time of the currenttitle will be displayed.Press DISPLAY again.• The BIT RATE and the cur-rent repeat setting will be dis-played.• If you are playing a dual layered disc, the layer numberwill also be displayed ( L0: Layer 0 is playing. You can change the cameraangle when the ( ) icon appears on the screen. If theANGLE ICON setting is OFF in the Display setting, the ( )icon will not appear. (Refer to page 28.)Press ANGLE during playback.• The selected angle will be displayed on the display barat the top of the screen.Press ANGLE repeatedly to select your desired angle.21DVDCamera AngleThe VCR/DVD allows you to select a language for subtitleduring DVD disc (if available) playback.Press SUBTITLE during playback.Press SUBTITLE repeatedly to select your desired subti-tle language.• The selected language will be displayed on the displaybar at the top of the screen.To turn off subtitles, press SUBTITLE repeatedly untilOFF appears.NOTES:• Some discs allow audio language setting/subtitle lan-guage setting on the disc menu. (Operation variesbetween discs, so refer to the manual accompanying thedisc.)• If the desired language is not shown after pressing SUB-TITLE several times, the disc does not have subtitles inthat language.• If you choose a Language that has a 3 letter languagecode, the code will be displayed every time you changethe Subtitle language setting. If you choose any otherlanguages, ‘---’ will be displayed instead.
