Manufactured to a high standard this product will, if used according to these instructionsand properly maintained, give you years of trouble free performance.IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY. NOTE THE SAFE OPERATIONAL REQUIRE-MENTS, WARNINGS AND CAUTIONS. USE THIS PRODUCT CORRECTLY AND WITH CARE FOR THE PURPOSEFOR WHICH IT IS INTENDED. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONSpppWARNING! These ear defenders are of normal size rangecomplying with BSEN352-1. They are designed to fit themajority of wearers. If in doubt, seek professional advise.3.1. Extend the headband to maximum open position and place thecups over the ears with the headband passing over the head.3.2. Settle the headband in position on the head while adjustingthe height of the ear cups until they feel comfortable and theheadband rests on top of the head to support the muffs.3.3. The cushions should be a snug fit against the head.3.4. The pressure of the ear defenders against the head can beadjusted to by bending the headband thereby ensuring aneffective noise seal.2.1 When worn properly and given adequate care, the SSP18 and SSP18F provide excellentprotection which filters the high levels of noise that are encountered in an industrial environment.2. APPLICATION1.1. GENERAL SAFETYpppWARNING! Put the ear defenders on before exposing yourself to noise and wear at alltimes during exposure to excess noise levels.3 Before use, check that the ear defenders will provide the required level of noise attenuation.Please see Attenuation table overleaf.3 Inspect the ear defenders to ensure there are no tears or snags and that they are in good condition.1.2.
