Mechanical errorWhen the display shows “MECHANICAL ERROR”, operate the following procedure to clearthe error.(If the ERROR lamp also lights, press [STOP] before operating below.)1. Open the original document tray.2. Lift the operation panel.3. Press [OPEN] button to open the recordingcover.4. If the cogwheel o is stuck in the cogwheel @as shown figure 1, lift the cogwheel ~.(See figure 2)l The correct position of cogwheel ~ and @shows in the figure 3.5. Reinsert the end of recording paper roll torecording paper exit.6. Close the recording paper cover securely bypressing on the left and right front corners ofthe far end of the cover.l The recording paper is cut automatically.Figure 1Figure 2Figure 3l If the “MECHANICAL ERROR” display cannot still be cleared, contact an authorizedSanyo service center.84
