Overseas transmissionWhen you transmit a fax to an overseas party, poor telephone line connection may cause atransmission error to occur. The overseas transmission feature maybe used to reducecommunication errors with overseas parties.1. Place the original document face down.Adjust the paper guide to the width of the document. STD NORMAL2. Select a contrastkesolution mode ifnecessary. (See page 30.) STD NORMAL3. Press [SPEED DIAL]. S.D: n4. Press [#].*A beep sounds. OVERSEAS Tx. SET5. Enter the overseas access code.Example: 011 0116. Press [REDIAUP] to enter a 3-second* pause. 011;7. Dial the country code and fax number.Example: 49111222333 I 011; 491112223338. Press [START’J+ When the line is connected, transmission 011; 49111222333begins automatically.l A pause time is initially set to 3 seconds. This can be changed between 2 to 12 secondsusing the feature switch No. 01. See pages 77-79.l The overseas transmission feature may also be used for local communications when atransmission error occurs.
