8EN 3/ INFORMATIONImportant:For your dishwasher to provide impec-cable washing and drying results with nomarks, you must set it correctly using thewater softening system, which uses regene-rating salt.•THE WATER HARDNESS• Lime: rainwater filtering through theground picks up mineral salts; some mineralsare found in solid form commonly termedlime. This reduces the washing detergent’sperformance, furs up the dishwasher and lea-ves white marks on the crockery.The more lime there is in the water, the more thewater is called “hard”.Use the most suitable products for the level ofwater hardness in your town.There are several types of products; how tochoose:For impeccable results, preferablyuse a combination of traditional pro-ducts:①①Washing detergent to clean thecrockery perfectly (powder, liquid or stan-dard tablets).②②Regenerating salt to enable your dis-hwasher’s water softener to operate cor-rectly.③③Rinsing liquid to assist drying and toeliminate marks from water droplets.Important:Never use washing-up liquid.Important:Follow the instructions for using themulti-purpose product and the recommenda-tions on the pack.NB:If in any doubt, please contact thedetergent manufacturer if the crockery isvery wet at the end of the programme or ifchalky deposits appear.For ease of use and in certain waterhardness conditions only (< 25°F),multi-purpose products can make theuse of regenerating salt and rinsing liquidunnecessary.• “Two-in-one” tablets contain deter-gents and rinsing liquid or an agent servingthe function of the salt.• “Three-in-one” tablets containdetergents and rinsing liquid as well as anagent serving the function of the salt.• “Four-in-one” “Five-in-one”tablets... also contain additives that pre-vent wear on poor quality glasses or the riskof stainless items corroding.
