Voice Service 33Voice ServiceTo place a call using Voice Dial:1. Activate voice recognition by pressing and holding . (The phoneprompts you for a command.)2. Say Call. (The phone prompts you to say the number or Contactname.)3. Say either a name stored in your Contacts or a valid 7, 10, or 11 digitNorth American phone number naturally and clearly.4. If the phone asks you, "Did You Say", followed by the correct number,say Yes. (You can also select the correct number from those displayedon the screen by pressing on the correct number. The phone willthen dial the number.)5. If the phone asks you, "Did You Say", followed by an incorrect number,say No. (If there are other alternatives, the phone will prompt you withthe next one.)6. Alternatively, you can call a person in your Contacts by saying their fullname exactly as it is entered in your Contacts. (The phone plays thename through the earpiece and displays it on the screen.)• If you said a name listed in your Contacts that has more than onenumber associated with it, the phone displays the different locations(Home, Work, Mobile, Pager, and Others) and asks you which one todial. Say one of the location names and the phone will dial thenumber for the specified location.Note: In some cases, the phone might ask you to repeat a name or number. Makesure that the number is a valid 7, 10, or 11 digit North American phone number,and then say the number again. If the number isn't valid, or if the phone stilldoesn't understand the number on the second try, it will not place a call.To send a text or picture message using Voice Dial:1.
