Phone Basics 13Phone BasicsYou can also place calls from your phone using Voice Dial (page 32), SpeedDialing numbers from your Contacts (page 17), or using your Call History listings(page 64).Answering CallsTo answer an incoming call:1. Make sure your phone is on. (If your phone is off, incoming calls go tovoicemail.)2. Press to answer an incoming call. (Depending on your phone’ssettings, you can also answer incoming calls by pressing any numberkey. See "Call Answer" on page 91 for more information.)Your phone notifies you of incoming calls in the following ways:• The phone rings or vibrates (unless set to Silence All).• The backlight illuminates.• The screen displays an incoming call message.If the incoming call is from a number stored in your Contacts, the Contacts entry’sname is displayed.
